Drop‑in early cancer diagnosis clinic

Check it, don’t chance it – act now on cancer
(Commissioned by Lancashire & South Cumbria Cancer Alliance)

🗓 Every Monday — 9:30am to 12:30pm (*Starting 2nd March 2026*)

📍 The Hub South Shore

120 Highfield Road, Blackpool, FY4 2JF thehubsouthshore.co.uk

No appointment needed — just drop in.

Most people with new symptoms won’t have cancer, but getting checked early makes a big difference.
If something doesn’t feel right, don’t put it off.

What symptoms should I come in with?

Look out for symptoms the Cancer Alliance highlights:

  • A new lump or bump
  • Pain that won’t go away
  • Blood in your poo
  • Blood in your pee
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Anything unusual for you that’s worrying or persistent

Check it, don’t chance it. If a symptom is persistent, unusual, or worrying — come talk to us.

What happens at the drop‑in?

  • A friendly Non-Clinical Health and Wellbeing worker will listen to your concerns about your symptoms, help you understand what to do next and refer you on to the right service or person.
  • You’ll get clear advice on next steps — reassurance, safety‑netting
  • Support with cancer awareness, screening and staying well

This is a supportive, confidential service.
You may bring a family member or friend if you prefer. You will not be examined at The Hub but a detailed history will be taken and if necessary a face to face GP appointment will be booked (usually in less than 7 days).
